Product Care Guidelines
Product Care & Storage
A little care goes a long way. Follow these recommendations to keep your 2RF Tackle products performing the way they were designed.
Soft Plastics
Avoid prolonged direct sunlight.
Do not leave soft plastics exposed to direct sunlight for extended periods. UV exposure and heat may cause pigments to fade, dull, or change in appearance over time.
Do not store plastics on hooks.
Our plastisol blends are specifically selected to provide the action, flexibility, and performance we want from each bait. They are not intended for long-term storage while rigged on a hook. Leaving a bait rigged for extended periods may cause the nose or hook-entry area to stretch or split.
Recommended Storage
● Keep unused baits in their original packaging.
● Store them in a cool, dry, shaded area.
● A tackle bag, tackle box, or enclosed storage compartment on your boat works great.
● Avoid excessive heat and prolonged direct sunlight whenever possible.
Hooks & Jigs
Rinse after saltwater use.
After fishing, thoroughly rinse hooks, jig heads, and other terminal tackle with clean, fresh water to remove salt and other residue.
Allow them to dry completely before storage.
Our hooks are rust resistant—not rust proof. Salt and moisture can accelerate oxidation and corrosion, even on high-quality hooks.
Recommended Storage
● Rinse thoroughly with fresh water after saltwater exposure.
● Allow hooks and jigs to dry completely before placing them back into enclosed storage.
● Avoid storing wet tackle with unused hooks or jigs.
● Add silica gel/desiccant packets to terminal tackle boxes to help control moisture and increase corrosion resistance and product longevity.
